The Valentine's Day Marathon

The only all trail marathon in New York City!

Welcome Runners!

January 26th, 2011

The Holiday Marathons was denied a permit from the NYC Parks Dept,

stating that our application for a permit wasn’t submitted within time for review.

It is with great disappointment that we are not able to hold our

2nd annual Valentines Day Marathon due to Parks denial for a permit.

The park is open on Valentines Day and we hope you will

continue to run and enjoy the great outdoors on the holidays!

    Hi Mike,
will there be updates on course conditions, I figure the course must be pretty icy right now.
    Thanks!

Thank you. It was fun. I was going to do 2 laps Half Marathon as usual. But 1 mile into the course, I twisted my right foot 9 times and left foot 7 times already. By the end of the race, I almost fell three times. So I decided to take it easy today by just running 1 loop. Thanks to the organizers, volunteers, and spectators. It was another fun event. Congratulations to all the runners who braved the icy trail and completed the run.

Directions to race start were hard to find on website but there.
Relatively small crowd dared the icy, slippery course, but everyone seemed to have a great time. Was a bit lonely on the 4th and final loop of the marathon, but that’s to be expected in a small race. Had a great time out there!
